A bit of a belated post but I wanted to share the fantastic evening I had at The Polish Bakery Christmas Party!
In early December on a chilly Tuesday evening I was invited to an evening filled with Christmas festivities as I attended The Polish Bakery Christmas Party at 55 Exhibition Road in South Kensington, London. The venue was stunning, with renowned Polish restaurant, Ognisko Polskie located on the ground floor. A sweeping staircase took us up to the first floor where the event was being held.
On entering the room (with prosecco in hand!) there was a beautiful grand piano and we were welcomed by a MD of The Polish Bakery. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly – the room was filled with happy faces! This was, in part, to do with the amounts of gorgeous, delicious food laid out for us to indulge. As soon as one plate was emptied it was refilled with different meats, cheeses, salads and of course, the main attraction of The Polish Bakery bread.
There were so many breads to try from The Polish Bakery and it is the oldest Polish Bakery in the UK. They are truly traditional company using only natural ingrediants imported from Poland to create the authentic Polish flavours. Breads are hand-finished and are a sourdough which tastes absolutely delicious! They have a full range of breads available including poppy seed, rye, half-wheat, sesame seed and sunflower seed. There are also gluten-free breads available which were wonderful to try!
Dessert was an array of beautiful looking slices of cakes alongside sumptuous doughnuts (if unlike me you weren’t already full from all of the delicious bread!) The cakes had lots of gorgeous layers filled with delicious, mouthwatering flavours. There were so many to taste!
We ended the evening with some lovely speeches and cutting of the cake before being handed fabulous goody bags filled with breads and delicious Vienna Cheesecake that was shared amongst my colleagues the following day. A truly magical evening and a perfect way to kick off the festive season!
